Choosing an Instrument for Children

If you have questions about an age-appropriate instrument for your child, please speak with ENSM’s Director, Danny Ray Martin. He will be happy to help you determine what’s best for your child and/or to set up trial lessons on more than one instrument.

Enrollment Confirmation

A registration form must be received before a lesson time will be reserved. The lesson time you select is not confirmed until you have received a phone call or email from ENSM. If we cannot accommodate your requested time, we will get in touch about alternative choices and/or place you on a waiting list.

Payment

Payment for the first month is due within 72 hours of registration or on the first day of lessons. If payment is not received, the space will be released. If registering within 72 hours of the first lesson, payment is due at the time of the first lesson. Payment for subsequent months will be due on the first of each month. Payments not received by the fifth day of the month will be assessed a 10% late fee due immediately. If payment in full is not received by the tenth day, the lesson time will be released.

Missed Lessons

Instructors:
If an instructor misses a lesson, he/she will attempt to reschedule the lesson at the convenience of the student within the same month. If rescheduling is not possible, the student will be refunded a portion of the month’s fees prorated by the number of lessons in that month. Instructors will make every attempt to give students 24 hour notice if a lesson must be cancelled or rescheduled.

Students: If a student misses a lesson, the instructor may at his/her discretion reschedule the lesson. However, rescheduling and/or make-up lessons are not the policy of ENSM, and the student is not guaranteed a make-up lesson. If a student misses a lesson, the full month’s fees are still due. Students are asked to give instructors 24 hour notice if a lesson must be cancelled.

Weather: If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, those lessons will be made up. No refunds will be given due to weather. We follow Davidson County Public Schools decisions. If Davidson County has a snow delay, our lessons will run as usual.

Non-enrolled Siblings

Our school cannot accommodate non-enrolled siblings who are not accompanied by a parent, guardian or supervising adult.

Lesson Specifics

We will begin and end each lesson on time.  Arriving a little before the lesson provides time for you or your child to settle in and prepare to enjoy and learn to the fullest potential. Please respect the time of instructors and of other students by not interrupting other lessons and by not being loud or disruptive inside the school.

Please finish snacks (including chewing gum) prior to the lesson.
